Kurt Cobain's suicide could have been prevented

Posted by xboxbob11 - October 9th, 2010

After all the time I have had in my life to analyze the whole band career of Nirvana and whatnot, I have come to this conclusion based on my knowledge of the band that once was as well as what I have learned in life so far.

We all know that Kurt Cobain killed himself with a shotgun, thus negatively affecting an entire generation of musicians and music listeners alike. But what about what led him to commit this unnecessary act? Well, turns out Kurt had the pressures of fame wearing down on him from time to time. The problem was not that he did not care; rather, he was too hard on himself.

Given my experiences, I can safely say that a heinous act like suicide is pointless to any truly influential individual, just as masturbation is pointless to anyone who prefers actual sex. Sure, Michael Jackson had the pressures of fame get to him from time to time, but Michael also persevered these fame-involved pressures long enough to accomplish some unbelievably amazing things before he died unexpectedly. Who knows what Kurt Cobain could have gone on to accomplish if he had lived.
